The North Miami Police Association was formed in order to provide our members with superior benefits, equipment, negotiating power, wages, working conditions, Legal Defense Fund protections, and to protect the rights and interests of our members as well as the North Miami Beach community and the law enforcement community.
North Miami Beach is in Miami-Dade County in Florida and it is situated between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, which is only 11 miles south of North Miami Beach. It is home to over 40,000 residents. North Miami Beach attractions and activities are numerous:

- Senator Gwen Margolis Amphitheater
- Fulford Monument
- Beaches and snorkeling and diving locations
- Oleta River State Park, one of the largest urban parks in FL , which is used for kayaking, canoeing, and bicycle riding
- A number of impressive golf courses
- Greynolds Park, known for bird watching, canoeing, picnicking, and boating
